Florida Public Schools by County

Florida experienced strong economic growth during the twentieth century and today has a diverse economy. The main mineral resources are phosphates, oil and natural gas.

Agriculture is an important sector of the economy; the main productions include citrus fruit (the two thirds of American production), as well as melons, watermelons, vegetables, sugar cane, soybeans, corn, and cattle raising (dairy farming, fattening). Forestry and fishing (crustaceans, swordfish, freckles) are also very active.

Industries

North Broward Preparatory School - Coconut Creek

The North Borward Preparatory School (NBPS) is an independent private school. The NBPS is one of only 6 schools in Florida that offer the IB (International Baccalaureate) degree . The NBPS students are encouraged to develop their individual skills and talents, so the young people are supported in developing their personalities and prepared as best as possible for the transition to college. Every year, NBPS dropouts at colleges

the Ivy League. Students are encouraged to achieve goals, identify and develop their strengths. The Nort Broward Preparatory teaches "science to touch". The art offering is widely recognized as one of the best in Florida.

Living and learning in southern Florida. Due to its idyllic location near the Atlantic beaches and at the same time in the Greater Miami, Fort Lauderdale area, the NBPS is an ideal place to live and study. The beautiful Coconut Creek is approximately 15 miles north of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Coconut Creek has approximately 49,000 residents.

The idyllic campus stretches over 70 hectares and offers the pupils an infinite number of leisure opportunities. The boarding rooms are mostly double rooms and are comfortably furnished by the students according to their own taste. There is a network connection in the houses for computer access, which the students can use. The entire campus is available to students during the week and at the weekends, and in their free time the youngsters can use the swimming pool, fitness studio, computer rooms, dance studios ... The camaraderie makes the NBPS a relaxed and supportive place to live and study.

During the holiday season, the school offers its international students guided excursions and trips or helps with accommodation in host families. Great care is taken to ensure that the students are integrated as well as possible and feel comfortable.
